Erasing Places is a body of work that has documented Leah’s experience seeing her hometown, Ellicott City, MD, devastated by recurring floods. It primarily dissects the town and it’s buildings, placing them in imaginative waters that engulf them or carry them off. The paintings document the structures themselves, but also the memories they represent.
