The Impositions series is an exploration of space, architecture, and landscape. These paintings contain multiple dimensions of landscape and architectural space - some solid and sensical while others are loose, or out of touch. The solid geometric forms of wall, ceiling and floor block the landscape beyond, creating an abstracted space for the viewer to stand.

This painting was inspired by the flooding of Historic Ellicott City is 2018, wehn major streets were washed entirely away, ripping up large chunks of asphalt and earth which then tumbled down the street with the torrent.
